A Family-Owned Beekeeping Supply Company
My name is Keith Elkes, and my journey into beekeeping began at just 11 years old. That’s when I met my neighbor, Walter Grey, who became both a mentor and a dear friend. He took me under his wing and introduced me to the world of bees. I spent countless evenings at his house building hive boxes, cleaning frames, and helping in his bee yard. With his guidance, I began building my own hives and learning how to catch swarms—and by the time I was 12, I had eight hives of my own. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Years later, that passion turned into something bigger. In 2010, a close friend, Roy, and I began manufacturing cypress woodenware out of his garage and selling it locally. What started as a small operation quickly grew into a dream.
In 2014, my wife Andrea and I were given the opportunity—thanks to her parents, Ed and Sylvia Willis—to build our own manufacturing and retail beekeeping business on their farm. That opportunity changed everything.
Today, our business is truly a family effort, built on a lifelong love of beekeeping and a genuine desire to support others in their journey. Whether you’re just getting started or have kept bees for years, we care deeply about helping you succeed. We believe in quality products, honest advice, and taking the time to understand each beekeeper’s unique needs. We’re excited about this adventure and look forward to serving you and being part of your beekeeping story.
